Gloomy, rainy weekends usually makes anyone want to sleep in, snuggle with a warm blanket and drink warm hot coco soaked in gooey marshmallows. But this weekend called for a nice getaway up to Sonoma County. A hidden gem, called Bodega Bay along Highway 1 coastline is a perfect spot: small and quaint with beautiful scenic views.
Gourmet Au Bay, a wine bar and wine shop is a must visit. Catching the stunning sunset while tasting the best local Sonoma and Napa County wine was picture perfect! Capturing a snapshot of a small bird on the outside deck was also very ironic since Bodega Bay is the location of the 1963 Alfred Hitchcock movie, "The Birds" where birds attack the community. Rest assured this bird was quite friendly :)
